Admissions Process

Every journey is distinct and varies based on personal circumstances. Progress occurs at individual paces, so there isn’t a straightforward answer to this. Research indicates that optimal success rates are linked to appropriate treatment durations. Prematurely stopping treatment is a primary cause of relapse. Similar to not leaving the hospital mid-cancer battle, it’s crucial not to end rehab prematurely.

Many individuals fear judgment, even from those facing similar challenges. Use this as a chance to confront fear, addressing issues openly as they come up within the rehab community. By taking these initial steps to address pain and emotional distress, you pave the way for a successful recovery journey that could benefit others as well. You might discover a supportive network of individuals who share or have shared your experiences.

At Spero Recovery, we understand that seeking treatment for mental health and substance abuse issues can be daunting. That’s why our team is dedicated to creating a non-judgemental environment where individuals can feel safe and supported throughout their recovery journey. Our welcoming and compassionate community is built on the belief that everyone deserves respect, understanding, and acceptance as they work towards healing. By choosing Spero Recovery, you can trust that our team will provide the care and support you need in a comfortable and nurturing environment.

Similarly, there might be individuals you don’t particularly favor. Exercise caution in forming judgments as you wouldn’t want to be judged either. Strive to empathize with their perspectives and the paths their struggles have led them on. By doing so, you might discover compassion within yourself for their life challenges. At Spero Recovery, we possess extensive expertise in addressing such matters. We strictly avoid engaging in gossip or drama within our facilities. With our inclusive atmosphere and supportive community, you will undoubtedly feel secure and embraced.

Upon arrival at Spero Recovery, a team member will welcome you and offer an introduction to our fundamental policies and procedures. Typically, you will undergo a thorough biopsychosocial assessment during the first weekday after you arrive. This assessment will assist our team in developing a customized treatment plan designed just for you.

At Spero Recovery, we believe in treating the whole person rather than just their mental health disorder. We understand that often times, mental health problems can lead to addiction or vice versa. That’s why our team is trained to assess and treat co-occurring disorders, ensuring that all aspects of a person’s well-being are addressed in their recovery journey. Our staff is experienced in identifying and addressing co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety or depression, which may be contributing to addictive behaviors.

By treating both the mental health disorder and addiction simultaneously, we can provide comprehensive care that promotes lasting recovery. Our personalized treatment plans are designed to address each individual’s unique needs and challenges, providing them with the best chance for long-term success. At Spero Recovery, we are committed to helping individuals achieve holistic healing and a brighter future.

During Treatment

Accommodation, meals, and program materials are covered by the fees at Spero Recovery Center. Clients are responsible for additional expenses like medication refills or medical appointment co-payments.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) are both effective forms of treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders. While they share many similarities, there are also some key differences. IOP typically involves attending therapy sessions for several hours a day, multiple times a week, while still living at home or in sober living housing. PHP, on the other hand, is more intensive and involves a full day of treatment at the facility, with clients returning home or to sober living housing in the evenings. PHP also often includes medical care and psychiatric services as part of the treatment.

Ultimately, the main difference between IOP and PHP is the level of support and structure provided. Both programs can be effective in helping individuals achieve and maintain long-term recovery, and the best option will depend on each individual’s needs and circumstances. Our team at Spero Recovery can help determine which program is the most suitable for your unique situation. So don’t hesitate to reach out to us and start your journey towards healing today.

What To Bring

Prepare a week’s worth of clothing suitable for layering based on the weather. Avoid clothing with drug-related content or offensive language. Remember to pack cozy sleepwear and workout attire that is modest (note that some places may not allow leggings or cropped tops). Women should pack one-piece swimsuits, while men should bring knee-length board shorts. Don’t forget sneakers for outdoor activities and flip flops for the bathroom. It’s fine to bring everyday jewelry like a wedding ring or watch. Consider bringing a jacket or sweater for indoor or outdoor use. Avoid bringing expensive clothes, shoes, or jewelry to rehab to prevent any loss during your stay.

While in rehabilitation, focusing on healing and recovery is crucial, which involves refraining from using specific distracting items. The following items are usually prohibited on the premises.

  • Drug-related items
  • Weapons
  • Sporting equipment
  • Aerosols
  • Food and drink
  • Any product that contains alcohol as an ingredient
  • Electronic devices
  • Excessive makeup or jewelry
  • Inappropriate clothing
  • Pornographic materials
